National Love Your Dog Month

It’s National Love Your Pet Month! Let me just say, being a dog mom is one of the highlights of my life. My Riser girl is a giant ball of energy, but let me tell you…there is nothing I wouldn’t do for her!

As fellow pet parents, I am sure you can relate to the joy you get when you are greeted at the door by your furry family member. Here is a list of relatable reasons why we love being pet parents!

  1. That cute moment when your dog gets the zoomies just because they are excited to see you.

  2. When they stare at you with pure annoyance after you put a funny bandana on them with some cheesy saying that only you get a kick out of. Example: “I only love my bed and my mama, I’m sorry”.

  3. National Love Your Pet Month
Their cuddles! My heart melts when Riser wakes me up in the middle of the night just so that she can snuggle up closer to me.

  4. When they bark at dogs on the TV thinking that it is their long lost furry-friend from HBO Max.

  5. Scrolling through your phone on your break and finding the cutest photo of them from when they were a wee little puppy.

  6. When you take them to the store and they pick out their own bone.

  7. Coming home and catching them cuddling with theirSnuggle Puppy.

Using them as an excuse to check out all of the local dog parks.

  9. Spending holidays together!

  10.  Buying up all of the personalized dog mom stuff on Etsy.

There are many reasons why we love our pets! Although these are just a few reasons why being a pet parent is ‘pawsome’, the list could go on for days.

TheSnuggle Puppy Blog has many tips and tricks for new dog parents. As a fellow dog mom, I’d recommend checking out ‘Shopping for Dog Treats: What to Look For’.

About me:

National Love Your Pet Month

Hi my name is Ashley and I work as a Marketing Coordinator with Snuggle Puppy managing social media platforms and writing blog posts forwww.snugglepuppy.com! I am a new dog mom to a sassy lab-mix named Riser, who I named after a Dierks Bentley song! I adopted her in November of 2020 and we have been best friends ever since!

Being Riser’s dog mom is fun, but has it’s challenges at times because she is full of sass! I have tons of experience working with dogs and received my BA in Communication from The University of Michigan-Dearborn! Make sure to check out the Snuggle Puppy blog and follow our social media channels to get updated on my newest blog posts and more from The Dog Mom Guide series. Scroll through some of our posts and you may just see Riser playing with her tender-tuffs or cooking new treats with me in the kitchen.
